3. Image area

As a general rule, the image should not occupy more than 80% of the stencil surface. It is not good practice to run squeegee blades over the glue or meshed borders.

4. Adhesive compatibility

It is essential that the adhesive used in the stencil manufacture can withstand repeated cleaning without degradation. Prolonged exposure to temperatures above 50ºC can result in delamination. To ensure full compatibility with your cleaning process, Tecan employs resilient epoxy-based adhesives.

5. Mesh material

A resilient Polyester 24HD is used, tensioned to 26N/cm ± 2N as standard. Alternative tensions are available on request.
