Laserformed stencils are a hybrid technology offering the precision of laser cut apertures and the enhanced paste release properties of nickel. Improved paste roll activation and multi-level technology are combined with exceptionally quick turnarounds to deliver optimised print deposit consistency.
When laser cutting stainless steel materials trace elements are liberated to the aperture walls and as such, care has to be taken to ensure the relative wall roughness doesn't impede the transfer of solder paste.
With laserformed stencils the base material of almost pure electroformed nickel results in significant improvements to the aperture wall smoothness to offer enhanced printed deposits similar to electroformed stencils.
