Hybrid microstructures can be manufactured from various material elements, including metals and polymers, to produce cost-effective integrated devices for new generation applications.
Virtually any combination of customised integrated layers of materials is possible. The use of polymers, in particular, enables not only the manufacture of stand-alone plastic components, but also the integration of new functionality and the possibility of integration with optoelectronic and micro-fluidic devices.
The ability to grow layer upon layer of material on the same mandrel enables the manufacture of complex 3D structures or the addition of a support layer for greater durability.
Typical profiles:
Overgrown and multi-level
Stepped multi-level
