Tecan offers a matt sulphamate nickel coating, primarily as an undercoat to act as an anti-diffusion barrier. Typical applications would be as underlayer for brass components that have a solderability requirement such as RFI screening cans.

Nickel is a hard metal, which has improved ductility and durability when used in the sulphamate structure (columnar rather than laminar).
